I wanted to let you know that the Velocy shoes I received are without question the best pair of tennis shoes I have ever worn. After you discussed the shoes with me, I still had some doubts that any significant difference would be noticed. I was wrong. When I put them on and took a brief walk......I felt ten years younger, had more pep in my step and bounce in my walk! Thanks for introducing me to Velocy, Aaron Bryant

Hey, guys. I just ordered two pair of your men's running shoes. I really believe that your men's running shoe is keeping me in the game. I qualified for Boston in 2005 and deferred for the following year so I could have surgery for "turf toe" in December of 2005. I started training with your shoes towards the end of 2006. Four marathons later I trained, and for the first time, raced with your shoes, requalifying for Boston. As I said, I really believe that your product is keeping me in the game after my surgery. Thanks for providing me with this option. Steve Ferraro

LOVE ‘em!! They seem to not just change how the foot contacts the ground (ie: Newton….sorry for the continued comparison but it’s the only reference point I have)…………they actually change the way that the hips-pelvis-body is positioned well above the feet. This is the best I can describe it. A bit of forward “lean” (aka the “Pose” & “Evolution” methodology) seems to be facilitated from the core………………making the kinesthetic response (of running correctly) more of a hip-centered function …………than a foot-placement thing. I go for run #2 in them today. And I had A LOT of people ask me about them, down there, this past weekend. I told them to “stay tuned!” You’re on to something. Paul Sullivan
runner/triathlete

I have been a runner/triathlete since 1991. Over the years I developed little injuries that over time created big injuries that required times of NO Running activity. Being a natural runner, and neutral foot striker, I often struggled with finding the right shoe that gave me the cushion that I needed but also let me run without any built in footwear structures that inhibited my natural foot strike. We'll, I have finally found that shoe with Velocy! I have been using the Velocy 101 since Dec. and really enjoy the natural feel and smooth transition that I get from every foot strike through out my runs. I have been much happier and feeling AWESOME in my winter running/triathlon base training for my up coming 2008 season! Secondly, I have yet to meet or deal with a footwear company or any company for that matter in the sports and fitness industry that can match the EXCELLENT customer service and responsiveness of TEAM VELOCY! They not only care deeply about their product, but also about the athlete's that use their product(s)! I am extremely blessed and lucky to have found such a great shoe manufacturer but also just plain GREAT PEOPLE! Paul Sullivan www.winskinsprinting.com

This is Robert Martin aka “50” former of the And1 Basketball Team. These shoes are great and I really enjoy them. They help you run faster and quicker. They also protect your feet from injuries and your muscles after a long workout and run. Instead of having a 50’ vertical they helped me reach a 52’ vertical and I would love to endorse Velocy shoes. Roy James Carr, II, Former NFL Player and now Strength and Conditioning Training for the past 14 years. The Gravity Velocy Shoe is the best athletic shoe I have every worn. As I was growing up and playing different sports, my Dad told me that there are two things in life you must have, and that is to have great bed and great fitting shoes. Half the time you are in the bed and the other half on you feet. The Velocy Gravity Shoe prevents serious injury by putting your feet, knees and hips in proper alignment. The forward gravity motion keeps you on the balls of your feet, putting less pressure on your joints. This shoe also keeps the lower back from being out of alignment as well. I have recommended the Velocy Gravity Shoe to all my athletes and to all my clients that have had nagging back and leg injuries. This shoe will revolutionize the shoe industry, not just in sports but every day work place. Look out you other guys. ROY J. CARR, II Bodysculpting2000.com body2002@aol.com

Wearing velocy shoes has made working out and running fun for me! The comfort and support of running in the shoe has relieved the pressure on my joints. As a former NFL defensive lineman, I use to experience aches and pains in my knees after running and working out because of the harsh physical contact of football. Once I started wearing the shoes my inflamation in my knees was supressed. Now, I can run a longer distance and time without worrying about the aches. Thanks Velocy. As excited as you were about this "Forward Gravity" thing when we first talked, I knew you were on to something. However, I never would have imagined this shoe to be so performance enhancing - especially after wearing Addidas gear all those years with the Cubs organization. Indeed, Velocy gets my vote for the best performance technology in a running shoe since I have been wearing them. Please, keep me in the loop about how I can help get the message out about the Velocy line of performance enhancing shoes. The natural feel of the shoe encourages me to get up and take off down the field whenever I put them on! They make me lean forward like a jet prepared for take off when I am walking from one spot to another - and this is the type of shoe we need for maximum performance and speed training. I know anybody who has worn athletic shoes as much as we have will be absolutely wowed by Velocy. Accept my apologies for the delay in getting this word of commendation to you and the crew at Velocy. But, don't hesitate to take me up on the offer to get every Cub, Philly, or Royal I know into this shoe! These shoes are age-defying athletic equipment! D. I was given a pair of your shoes from a friend. He had them new and could not wear them as they were a size too small. I had never heard of them. It was a funky feeling at first as I walked those first few steps. I ran with several different brands during the ’07 season. I am a new runner as of ‘06. I am 34 now. I am 6'3". I ran the Chicago Marathon at 240lbs and now UNFORTUNATELY I am 270, actually down 10lbs from December. I work out 20 plus days a month since Jan 1st. Three days a week I run 40 minutes on the tread mill at 11:30 per mile. Each month my goal is 30 seconds lower per mile on my per mile pace. I am very leery of the impact 270lbs brings. I am aiming for 225 by time of the ‘08 Chicago Marathon (not that anyone asked. Sooooo after all of the above, I am at the point where my toe nails should be tearing, my shins should be splinting, my knees should hurt, my back should ache, but they are not. My running form is by the book, per my Chicago Endurance Sports training, and yet I expected some pain. I thought I would be sidelined by now forced to contemplate a way to get the weight off first before running or doing any sort of impact workout. However, I am only improving and the running is getting easier. It took a while for me to figure out something was different. I am sure it is your shoes that have me relatively pain free. I have been telling all my friends about the brand and how the toe box is roomy yet supportive. How the shoe pitches you forward and rocks the heel on a proper diagonal. More impact is turning into momentum for me. I am sure I would have to purposely force myself to run badly to try and negate the effect your shoe has had. I have not been this impressed by a product in a very, very long time……….. YEARS! Thank you. I hope your company is doing well. I want your product for years to come. I am guessing million dollar commercials staring famous athletes are not in your immediate future. Please get the word out here to us in Chicago. Jeff

Leslie Coons     San Diego,   CA.
Strength/Conditioning Coach

My name is Leslie Coons and I am the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the San Diego Shockwave Professional Indoor Football Team and Track & Field Coach at San Diego Mesa College. Though the Velocy weighs more than the traditional running shoe the construction was such that it puts the athlete on the balls of their feet and in a slight forward lean which is proper running form. I found your product to be exceeding helpful in teaching proper foot strike and running technique for beginning and veteran athletes. That being said the Velocy takes some of the undesired force out of the knee and ankle joints which often limit an athlete. You have a tremendous product. I enjoyed wearing the Velocy and would love to tryout future prototypes.

My name is John E. Cash and currently the police chief for the Shalimar police department. I approved the wear of this product with our summer uniform. Our philosophy of a community policing standard has us on foot patrol and interacting more with the citizenry than a normal patrol officer. This shoes have been a positive step in eliminating foot, leg, and back discomfort. Myself and the other officers all have problems with these three discomforts. We have had local law enforcement inquire about the "look" of the shoe. Believe this or not, this shoe has been a great outreach to kids. They see us wear the shoe and approach us to look and ask about the shoe. They think we the "cops" are cool. We are in the process of getting photos posted on our web site with our officers wearing this GREAT product. I have to say the technology that was utilized for the comfort of the shoe has made other companies look for ways to do the same. Thanks to Velocy, the decrease of complaints about discomfort and injury have reduced dramatically. Chief John E. Cash

Scott Evans     Portland,   Oregon

I was first given a pair of Velocy shoes about 3 months ago, and I am completely sold. I have torn meniscus in both of my knees, a herniated disk between L4- L5, and bursitis in my left shoulder; quite frankly I live in constant pain. I have found that running helps moderate my pain and keeps my body in line, but about 25% of the time the pains associated with my knees and back flair up and are quite crippling after a run. Since I have been running with my Velocy shoes, the pain that I experience after a run is gone. My wife put it best when she said, “You don’t walk like an old man after you go running anymore.” The shoes propel me forward, help keep my knees bent so that I don’t have the stiff pounding that will sometimes occur when running down hill, and I swear is helping me keep my body in better form. I can’t say enough about your amazing shoes, and proudly tell all my friends about them. Thank you, Scott Evans 35

WOW! These are "MIRACLE" shoes. No heel pain and they take the hills like a piece of cake. I have run on and off for 31 years and have never had such a GRAND experience when I have run (exept for the Portland Marathon in 2004). I just can't believe what these shoes have done for me! Kudos to your research team.

Dear Velocy, 13 years ago I crushed my left heel in a skydiving accident. It took two surgeries, 12 pins and 5 months of rehabilitation just to be able to walk without a limp. My left ankle is partially fused and I have pedis planus and am very pronated (my fibula is displaced posteriorly). I have tried many times to return to my beloved sport, but the results have always been the same. My ankle would swell up and I would end up using my cane for a couple of days. I have tried several models of Asics, Nike, New Balance, and Adidas (I have a closet full). I have tried every combination of insoles, socks and orthotics. I have even tried using different shoes on each foot and nothing has enabled me to run more than a few hunderd yards before the pain stopped me. Last Sunday I crossed the finish line of a 10K in a stock pair of big beautiful blue Velocy's and today I ran my fastest 5K ever. Pain Free! Who would have thought that a simple shoe could completely change a persons life? I am currently training for a Half Marathon in August and if all goes well, I will be able to achieve my life long dream of completing a Marathon before the end of the year. I can not thank you enough. Blue Skies.

Thanks a milllion for allowing me to be part of Velocy's wear testing program. The shoes are so beautiful that I didn't want to take them out for a road test until weather and road conditions were perfect, at least for the first run. Drove 60 miles to Yale in the Fraser Canon where I test new running footwear such as the Coil Sprung Z Comfort coil shoes or Kangoo Shoes which have a 5 inch leaf spring and a variety of other running shoes. My first observation while standing in the 101's is the fact that they help to correct ones posture, which no doubt translates into better running posture technique. Second observation was that walking in the 101's will never come close to revealing their uniquely incredible potential. Until one begins to runnnnnnn in them. They are flat out sensational. The difference between the 101's and conventional running shoes is multifold. My feet feel lighter, almost like wheels. The 101's almost feel as thought they have a built in kinetic energy return spring. I found that I was breathing a little harder until I discovered that I was running much faster with the 101's due to their greater feeling of running ease and efficiency. A person trying the 101's on in a running store may feel they lack sufficient cushioning but guess what, that extra weight robbing penalty of shock absorbing material is not required or desired in the 101's because of far less impact harshness. Best Regards.

David Fink

Sorry for the delayed response, I really like the Veloz 101's, at first I was afraid they they were going to be a little heavy. I usually like lighter shoes, but the way they keep my body going forward is definately a major positive. I find myself running farther and faster which makes training better because of the positive attitude it gives me. Thanks.

What a great weekend I just had! I purchased a pair of your running shoes at the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon Expo back in June of 2006. I did not wear them at that event because I never try anything new on race day. I was looking forward to training in these new shoes and technology and FINALLY a shoe that lives up to the research! I am a male runner that is about 5'8 and weighs in at 212 lbs. I move pretty well for a big guy with a PR of 4:15 for 26.2 miles. I just completed my 4th marathon (PF Chang's Rock N Roll Marathon in AZ) and my heel felt great all through the course. I did not improve my time; I blame that on the sub 35 degree temperature BUT I can ssay that I encountered no hotspots or blisters. I can not wait to train and run another event in my Velocy running shoes, they are AWESOME! Do you guys have any job openings? I would love to work selling a product that brought me such success.

Marc Martinez     Grapevine,   Texas

I bought a pair of Velocy running shoes about 2 months ago and they are abolutely the best running shoe I have experienced. I am ordering my second pair! The shoes helped me correct a running deficiency that others such as Asics, Brooks, Nike, etc., just can't do. I run long distances (training for an Ironman Triathlon) and these shoes are easy on the knees, legs and back. Keep up the good work! One more question, when will you come up with additional colors?

Dave Chandler

I wanted you to know that my new shoes are great! Even though they were a little stiff when I first put them on, by the time I had run five miles they felt real good, and my heel didn't hurt anymore. I thought it was a fluke, so went back to my New Balance shoes with bad results. I guess I will have to order another pair of Velocy so I can train at the level I want to, have a variety of colors and let one pair rest. Thanks for a great shoe.

Lou

Once again, or perhaps more, I have taken to trunding about the streets of town. I have grown more comfortable in the shoes each time I wear them. But the good news here is that my knees feel just great! While there are some hints of pain, I am not at all inhibited in my stilted stride and have been able to consistently increase my mileage. I now can go far enough that I have to squint to still see my house! All kidding aside, the shoes have been a treat for my feet (and knees) so far. I put on my "old" shoes once and came back home to switch them for the trail shoes. I will keep pushing the envelope and get back to you with the results. I know I promised a picture but the camera seems to rebel when pointed in my direction. I'll keep working at it and get back to you.

Jason Midkiff     Kernersville,   NC

These shoes are simply amazing. I felt like a more efficient runner with my first step. The shoes happened to arrive just in time to be tested at a 5K race in downtown Greensboro. I grabbed a PR by 44 seconds on a race I had run one week earlier. With my new Veloz 101's, I accomplished 3rd place in the 15-19 age group and 41st out of approximately 450 runners. I can't wait to 'move with gravity' in next week's traithlon!

Jason Midkiff

After many runs in my Veloz 101's, I have come to fall in love with them. I have been able to run faster with the same amount of energy, and I have not been injured! I believe it is this improved efficiency that has made me able to run a whole minute faster for a new PR in my 5K. I am considering running the mile on my high school track team, and I was wondering if Velocy will come out with a long distance or cross country track spike.....The current track spike looks really cool! Overall, I have greatly enjoyed being a wear tester for Velocy shoes and was wondering if you considered sponsorship any further. Thank you very much for all that you have done.

Doug Marocco

Running in a Velocy shoe has allowed me to run again. After dealing with an Achilles tear for the past 3 years, I have used the Velocy shoe to change my heel footstrike style to a midstrike that moves me forward with less force on my Achilles. This difference has enabled me to run longer and more often and to once again win races. 2-time Age Group National Triathlon Champion 4-time Military National Champion 2007 Winner of teh Miami Half Marathon

Christopher W

The last couple of months of working out in these shoes in my intense speed workouts have definitely felt different then any other pair of spikes that I have ever worked out or raced I the last past 8 years of running. My first impression of the spikes when first putting them on I definitely felt that mentally wise it would give me somewhat of an edge in my speed workout just from the upright tip toe feeling and positioning that the spike gives you. And when I first began to workout in them I felt as if it was helping me with my running form - not running on the heels of my foot and making me run more efficient at a faster pace.

Dan

The geek in me is mixing with the wanna-be athlete. I ran in the Velocy shoes again this morning . . . my standard 5-mile route. I had the fastest time so far this year. I found that I beat my time on the same run about a month ago (second best time this year) by 17 seconds. Temperatures today were actually 5 degrees hotter than last month. On the same route, my average heart rate and max heart rate were both about 5 beats per minute lower with the Velocy shoes that with my conventional shoes. So to me that is a quantitative difference, indicating that I should be able to run even faster with the Velocy shoes (i.e., if I push myself to the same average hear rate as last month, I should be able to knock off even more time from the run.)

Mike

I received the shoes and wore them for the first time last night during my regular run. As you suggested, I first did 400 meters in my current [running shoe], then 400 in the Velocy, then 400 again in the [old shoes], then my regular 4 miles in the Velocy. At first blush . . . the shoes are very comfortable and supportive. I could definitely feel the different running geometry, which seemed to make for less stress on the joints and lower back. My feet, legs, joints and back felt better than usual after the four miles, which were on a treadmill since it is so hot here this time of year. I think they felt even better on the pavement during the initial quarter mile. I'm not running very fast these days, about 9 minute miles, but I have been doing 15-20 miles per week for the past 25 years so anything that takes stress off the joints is appreciated. By the way, the shoe are also very attractive; not as flashy as some, I'll update you as I put more miles on the, and I will interchange runs with my [old shoes].

Donnie M

Upon first seeing the spikes, I was amazed at how atypical they looked. Their toe-box area is far thicker than most spikes, which forces the runner to stay on his/her toes. This seemed impractical and awkward, by my opinion soon changed after tying them on. The spikes provided enough comfort and support that running on my toes felt normal. While I felt normal running with this new form, I also felt very fast. I was able to have quicker turnover, longer strides, and more power with every step. For me, they seemed very practical and beneficial.

Tim W

I'm a 400 and 800-meter runner, and those shoes are some of the best things I've worn. In the 400, coming around the last 100 stretch can be brutal on my stride. I try to run on the balls of my feet, but when the last 100 come around I occasionally cramp up and my running ends up becoming a stride from heel to toe. Well, these shoes forced me to stay on my toes, making it much easier to drive through the finish line. Forcing me to stay on my toes, I noticed my stride really opened up and felt like I was running faster before than I ever have. I run a 400 in 50.5, but when I tried these shoes out, I felt like I could have seriously run a time under 48 seconds. These shoes are great and thanks for letting me try them out!

Josh D

I really enjoyed running in the shoes. I do not run cross-country or track, but I did play three sports in high school and in college, and I did a lot of running for both. I really liked how they forced you to be up on your toes. In fact the first time I ran in them, I almost fell forward, because I am used to running on my toes anyway. But because they force you forward you really have more of a comfortable running motion in them . . . They were not only efficient, but they were very comfortable at the same time, that is important to me since finding shoes that fit are hard with my foot. Thank you for the opportunity to run in them.
